“The role of youth in ecological management: today and tomorrow” camp underway in Azerbaijan`s Gabala region
Gabala, November 25 (AZERTAC). An international camp of young ecologists “Role of youth in ecological management: today and tomorrow” is underway in Gabala region of Azerbaijan. The camp is initiated by International Dialogue for Environment Action - IDEA, an initiative launched by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and head of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR).
The key goal of the camp is to promote establishment of active relations via the cooperation and organization among various ecological groups and movements in region and developing countries of world, ensure participation of young ecologists to take active part in public life of regions, strengthen their role in their communities and encourage them to be ambassadors in implementation of ecological awareness process.
The opening ceremony was addressed by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and initiator of the International Dialogue for Environment Action - IDEA Leyla Aliyeva, Azerbaijan`s minister of ecology and natural resources Huseyngulu Bagirov, minister of youth and sports, SOCAR`s vice-president for ecology Rafiga Huseynzade, president and CEO of US`s Earth Force organization Lisa Bardwel, representative of UN Development Fund Nato Alkhazishvili, director of Great Britain`s EcoMuslim organization Omar Faruk.
The camp brings together over 100 young ecologists from 40 world countries. The camp is in progress following by various seminars and training courses, interesting panels.
