THIRD REPUBLICAN CARICATURE EXHIBITION OPENED
Addressing the participants, Chairman of Azerbaijan Artists Union Farhad Khalilov noted that caricature in Azerbaijan has ancient traditions. Today, Azerbaijan caricaturists take an active part in this sphere, as well as international contests and exhibitions. Mr. Khalilov congratulated artists-winners of international caricaturists contest.
Member of the board of directors of Artists Union Arif Huseynov, Chairman of “Azerbaijan karikaturasi” society Hafiz Hasratoglu, editor-in-chief of “Kirpi” magazine Polad Gasimov told on work of caricaturists within past years.
Azerbaijan Society was admitted to the European Caricaturists Confederation, AzerTAj correspondent learnt from Arif Huseynov. Now, members of society prepare to exhibitions in Yugoslavia and Turkey.
Parikhanum Mahmudgizi, head of house-museum of Jalil Mammadguluzade invited the participants to attend the anniversary of magazine “Molla Nasraddin” to be held on April 7. It was noted that 100 anniversary of “ Molla Nasraddin” magazine will be celebrated in 2006.
