TO TEACHERS OF AZERBAIJAN
On the occasion of the International Teacher’s Day I extend my heartfelt congratulation and best wishes to all of you, all of our country’s workers of education. The army of Azerbaijani teachers has always served high aims and done its best for all-round development of the country and upbringing our youth - our future, in the spirit of devotion to our national values.
We should take pride in the fact that as a result of the implemented reforms, our educational system having rich enlightenment traditions meets today international standards.
I believe that in the 21st century declared by the United Nations as “Century of Education” - “Century of Intellect”, the teachers of Azerbaijan will do their best for constant development of our education system and its integration into the world educational system, and will promote successful continuing the irreversible reforms in this sphere.
Important challenges concerning wide development perspectives are set to Independent Azerbaijani State. Upbringing of patriotic and highly skilled youth able to cope with these challenges is one of the conditions for progress of our country and well-being of our people.
I am confident that we will do our best to implement this important work, and will make a worthy contribution to realization of the education-building strategy initiated by our national leader Heydar Aliyev.
