Azerbaijani delegation participated in the 5th conference of TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia) Intergovernmental Commission wrapped up in Bulgarian capital, Sofia.

According to Akif Mustafayev, the Commission’s national secretary for Azerbaijan, the conference participants discussed the activity of the organization, its long-term plans, new projects, and approved its strategy for 2006-2015.

Akif Mustafayev said the Intergovernmental Commission also approved the organization’s 2006-2007 budget.

He added that the Commission decided to continue efforts to seek transformation of TRACECA into an international organization.
