TRADE TRANSACTIONS MADE WITH 109 COUNTRIES

The volume of the trade transactions realized within the first six months of 2003 by residents and non-residents of the republic with 109 countries has made up $ 2113302.4 thousand: export - $ 981736.5 thousand, import- $ 1131566 thousand. Red ink on export-import transactions constituted $149829.5 thousand.

The volume of export operations increased by 6.25% ($57755.4 thousand), and import by 57.69% /$413999.5 thousand/ as compared with six months of the last year, AzerTAj correspondent has learnt from Statistics and Information Technologies Department of the State Customs Committee. As to the volume of the import operations, it has mainly increased due to the delivery of natural gas, equipment, electrical machines and spares, ferrous metal, chemical agents and other goods.
