Turkey coup plot: Over 9,000 remanded in custody so far

Baku, July 26, AZERTAC

Over 9,000 people, including soldiers, policemen, judges and prosecutors, have been remanded in custody so far in connection with the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey, according to Anadolu Agency.

Of this, 2,219 are members of the judiciary, including 348 judges, with 100 members of the Supreme Court and 34 of the Council of State, as well as 737 public prosecutors.
