TURKEY PROTESTS AGAINST SWISS PARLIAMENT’S DECISION
Lower Chamber of the Swiss Parliament has passed the draft on “Armenian Genocide” in Ottoman state put on the agenda on the initiative of the socialist fraction and “Greens”. This issue was discussed at the Parliament in 2002 but it was negatively perceived because of the decisive protest of the government. Despite the new draft has not been drawn out as law, it was however recommend to be brought to the notice of the Turkey’s Parliament. The Government of Turkey expressed decisive protest against this resolution saying it may have a negative impact on Turkey-Switzerland relations.
