TURKISH PRESS REVIEW
Following is the article entitled “Son of His Father” by Doctor of History, Prof. Yahya Dashdele published in the influential Turkish newspaper “Onder”.
SON OF HIS FATHER
Starting this article, I worried about how would I manage to reflect truth in it. It is not a rule that an individual genetically inherits all noble and high traits from his father, and that he is worthy of him. This is mercy of Allah.
It is a great honor to us that President of Azerbaijan Republic, esteemed Ilham Aliyev has paid a visit to Turkey, and made considerable contribution to clinching chronic arguments among the country’s public and improving political climate here.
Embodying wise qualities of the leader of secular, democratic and legal state, he - by his personality and world outlook - has become an example for a number of our politicians. Turkish public and people are proud of it. His speech at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, as a social, political and economic program, was greeted in all seriousness by parliamentarians, who were rising in applause. This happen to be a one more evidence that Ilham Aliyev is really worthy of the wise utterance “Son of His Father”.
Being the son of outstanding political figure, national hero, founder of s state and republic, Ataturk of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev is not a fortuity, but destiny. However, taking wise political steps, Ilham Aliyev has demonstrated to the whole Turkish world that winning respect and honor, he would not remain in the shadow of his father.
It is really difficult to be the son of state founder and national hero. In the course of his official visit to Turkey, President Ilham Aliyev has proven once again that he is a politician having large experience, and would - like his father - serve his motherland and people.
