TV5Monde broadcasts program on Azerbaijan VIDEO

French TV5Monde channel has aired a program on Azerbaijan.
In the program, French Ambassador Pascal Meunier hailed the role of the French community in Azerbaijan, and the two countries` relations in the fields of economy and education. He noted that a number of measures have been taken to develop educational ties, and highlighted the opening of a French lyceum in Baku and joint forums between universities to facilitate the education of Azerbaijani students in France.
The diplomat praised the Azerbaijani government’s huge investment in the development of information and communication technologies and tourism.
Mr Meunier also hailed tolerance in Azerbaijan as “high”. “Representatives of different religions live here in peace,” he said.
Other participants of the program highlighted the improvement of living standard and the establishment of a modern infrastructure in Azerbaijan, rapid development of Baku in recent years and even compared it with Dubai.
The program lauded the pace of economic diversification reforms, and French companies’ interest in investing in Azerbaijan.
The guests of the program also praised the government`s efforts to popularize Azerbaijani culture in the world, particularly the incorporation of Azerbaijan` carpet and mugham into the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
