TWO TURKISH FRIGATES ARRIVE IN POTI FOR NAVAL EXERCISE
A source at the Georgian Navy headquarters told Russian news agency Itar-Tass on Saturday that the training would be held according to plan on April 13 in the Poti water area “in accordance with NATO standards”.
Search and rescue operations at sea will be the key phase to be trained during the one-day exercise in which four Georgian naval ships will participate.
The Turkish frigates will return home after the training. The Turkish sailors will be offered a recreation program, including a football match against their Georgian fellow-sailors, a concert by the local song and dance group and a sightseeing tour of Poti and its outskirts. The Turkish guests will also meet the city administration officials.
