A delegation of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees visited Mughan and southern regions of Azerbaijan on 28 August. Head of the delegation Tair Ali and official of the Information Protection Department John Long arrived in Sabirabad encampment Galagain. Mr. Ali advised that his mission is engaged in rendering humanitarian assistance to the people suffered from the conflict, but not in politics. The refugees expressed regret that the UN SC resolutions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are ignored, and let the UN delegation members know that over 600 families live under very hard conditions in railroad cars in Imishli.

At the same time, the guest highly valued the government’s care about 2550 families resided in 6 villages of Bilasuvar region, visited temporary residence built with the mission’s assistance at Mezjali secondary school bearing the name of shehid Ilgar Gouliyev, and Geytepe frontier detachment.
