UNION OF CINEMATOGRAPHERS ARRANGES ROUND TABLE
On the day of closing the 6th International Baku Film Festival “East-West”, the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan arranged a round table discussion on the theme “Challenges of Globalizing World: National Cinematograph In the Beginning of the XXI Century.” Greeting the participants of the event, culturologist, Doctor of philosophy, Prof. Rakhman Badalov noted the meeting had been arranged to discuss topical problems of national cinematographs of post-soviet countries.
The round table participants agreed in the opinion that “no national culture can exist without national cinematograph”, and therefore development of the national cinematograph is of poromount importance for every independent state.
During the meeting, a comprehensive exchange of views was held on other issues of the modern cinema art, as well.
