US Engineers Develop Flying Robots
Baku, March 3 (AZERTAC). A group of engineers at the Pennsylvania University in the US has developed a panel of mini flying robots in such a manner that they could play the theme song of James Bond, says a new report. The discovery has been revealed in a video at a technology conference that was held in California this week. It has been uncovered by the team that it has been working on the development of a new breed of faster and flexible robots that may be able to replicate birds and fishes` behaviours. The robots have been named as quadrotors because of their four whirling blades, revealed the engineers. They have affirmed that the video grabbing numerous viewers in the University of Pennsylvania General Robotics, Automation, Sensing and Perception (GRASP) Lab might seem ordinary but, it focuses on the skills of robots to move in unison and that too without any issues. According to the findings, the group has created its couch guitar along with varied other garage-band instruments including drums, electric guitar and keyboard. The couch guitar has been manufactured with the help of an old couch`s frame. It is also told by the team that the strings of guitar have been placed in order to match the James Bond`s melody. Also, it said that for playing the melody, the robots dip up and down in the air and press the keys of a synthesizer. The report has further unveiled that the robots have been fitted with wireless cameras together with infrared lights, which are found to be helpful for their pilots in locating their position where they exactly are. It is being believed by the engineering students who are supporting in the study that the new creation could help in survey of landscapes and build structures in the near future.
