Verizon Wireless launches largest LTE network

Baku, December 3 (AZERTAC). Verizon Wireless announced the launch of LTE network in 38 U.S. cities on December 5. Initially, users will be able to use only Internet access services, support for voice services will be available in the future. 5 GB of prepaid traffic per month will be $ 50, 10 GB - $ 80. Besides paid package, for each extra GB the user will have to pay $ 10. It is expected that transfer rates in LTE-American network will be from 5 to 12 Mbps.

Cost of USB-modem working in 3G, as well as in LTE-networks, with a two-year contract and a $50 discount is $100. First, only one modem - VL600 from LG will be available, later subscribers will be offered modem Pantech UML290.

As for mobile phones, according to representatives of Verizon, they will go on sale in mid-2011, though earlier their release was expected early next year.
