Vietnamese delegation visits AZERTAC
Baku, October 8, AZERTAC
On October 8, a Vietnamese delegation led by Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam's Communist Review journal, visited the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC).
The friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam were discussed during the meeting with Chairman of the AZERTAC Board Vugar Aliyev.
It was noted that the foundations of Azerbaijan-Vietnam relations were laid with the visits of Vietnam's first President Ho Chi Minh to Azerbaijan in 1959 and National Leader Heydar Aliyev to Vietnam in 1983.
The sides highlighted that, as a result of the warm ties between the two countries, numerous Vietnamese students came to Azerbaijan to pursue their studies in subsequent years.
The Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC stated that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam is developing successfully in various areas, including the media sector. He emphasized that a new Cooperation Agreement was signed between AZERTAC and Vietnam's VNA agency in Baku in May 2025. The agencies also collaborate within international organizations such as the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) and the World Congress of News Agencies.
Recalling the historical ties between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, Nguyen Ngoc Ha expressed gratitude for the support provided by Azerbaijan.
The delegation also familiarized themselves with the activities of AZERTAC's newsrooms.
