VIOLATIONS DURING PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

Violating the Articles 75.1 and 75.2 of Election Code of the Azerbaijan Republic, the opposition press has not even stoped propaganda and counterpropaganda on the day of elections. On October 14-15, the newspapers “Yeni Musavat”, “Azadlig”, “Jumhuriyyet”, “Hurriyet”, etc. published articles on agitation of I. Gambar and E. Mamadov, while the other candidates were insulted and were given offences. The said opposition newspapers published articles of counter propaganda against other Presidential candidates - Etibar Mammadov, Ilyas Ismailov. On 14-15 October, activists of the political blocs of “Bizim Azrebaijan” and “Gelebe” carried our propaganda in favor of Isa Gambar and E. Mammadov.

According to the provided information, at the 22nd point of 22nd election district in Nesimi district of Baku, the observer Lala Jafariova, representing Musavat Party attempted to violate the course of voting by making a row. Statting that they would assume power by any case, called the electors to vote for Isa Gambar. Members of the election commission and observers made her quiet.

At the 6th polling point in Sabail disrict, the Musavat supporter, singer Flora Karimova called on the electors to vote for Isa Gambar, shouting slogans against Ilham Aliyev. Members of the group “Movement of Garabag Fighters” headed by Etimad Asadov, participating in the election campaign of Isa Gambar, came to one of the Agdam elections stations and made a row there, insulting members of the commission, forced them threatening to burn the election station. The police prevented their provocation and the culprits were detained.

On October 14, chairman of the PFP Siyazen branch Sadyar Osmanov came to the 31st polling station of the 50th Siyazen-Gobustan-Khizi election district and without any reason insulted members of the election commission Jafar Bagirov.

On 14 October, at the 21st polling station of Khatai district, observer Ali Gambarov, representing PNIA, insulted the voter Yusif Salmanov.

At the 26th polling station of the Narimanov district, representative-observer from the Musavat Party Zakir Khalafov, impeded the course of the elections and was sidelined from the station.

At the 18th polling station of the 29th election district of Sabael district, the commission member from Musavat Party Lutfali Mammadov was sidelined form the election station for hampering the course of elections.

At the11th polling station of 29th election district of Sabail district, Musavat Party member Shamil Rahimov attempted to break order and was taken to the 8th police station, warned and released.

At the 16th polling station of the 24th election station of Nizami district, the observer Yavar Eyyubov attempted to impede the course of elections and a statement was drawn up on him and sent to the court.

Secretary General of the ADP Sardar Jalaloglu following with a group of Part functionaries came to the 7th polling station of the 22nd election that located at the Slavonic University and attempted to violate normal work of the station. He promoted two of his Party members to enter the polling booth together, took their picture, and left the station.

Those persons enter the polling booths and oblige the electors to vote for their candidate.
