VISITING THE MEMORIAL OF THE “UNKNOWN SOLDIER”
Before the memorial, in honor of the Head of Azerbaijan State the guard of honor was lined up.
President Ilham Aliyev has assigned a wreath to the “Eternal Fire”, by minute of silence has honored memory of the fighters who fell in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45.
National anthems of Azerbaijan and Ukraine were performed.
The Head of State has admired the panorama of ancient Kiev.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev has hospitably met and talked to inhabitants of capital of Ukraine. Under deep impression from such attitude of the head of Azerbaijan, the residents of Kiev have regarded it as the event most remembered for them, have wished the Head of Azerbaijan State successful visit.
During the visit to the memorial, President Ilham Aliyev was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishchenko, chairman of the Kiev city council Alexander Omelchenko, the ambassador of Azerbaijan in Ukraine Talat Aliyev, the ambassador of Ukraine in Azerbaijan Boris Aleksenko and other officials.
