VOLUME OF DEPOSITS INCREASED BY 52,6 PERCENT
The amount of funds and deposits, attracted by Azerbaijani banks, has totaled at 2862,3 billion manat. According to the National Bank’s press-service, this figure has become more by 11,5% compared to data by January 1, 2003 and by 59,9% in comparison with August 1, 2002.
Some 517,4 billion manats or 18,1% of this amount falls at the deposits in national currency, while 2344,9 billion manats or 81,9% - in foreign currency.
By August 1, 977,1 billion manats has been deposited by natural persons and it is by 27,3 percent more as compared with January 1, 2003 and 52,6 percent more than on August 1, 2002.
For the mentioned period, the juridical persons have deposited 1885,2 billion manats, which is by 26,5% more than that figure of the January 1, 2003 and by 64% more than on August 1, 2002.
