Workshop on “German experience in Fighting Computer Crime” ends up
Baku, February 19 (AZERTAC). A scientific and practical workshop entitled “German experience in Fighting Computer Crime” has come to an end in Baku Tuesday.
The workshop for forensic experts in the field of computer crime, aimed to study international methodologies and advanced technologies on the examination of crimes committed in the area of computer technologies and improve professional skills of specialists and increase their knowledge.
At the two-day seminar German experts delivered reports on various topics, including “Cibercrime – appearance forms, international norms in fight against computer crime, regulation by German legislation”, “investigation of German police in the field of computer crime”, “Public risk of the computer crime, criminal-legal and criminological aspects of its fight”, “Returning illegal incomes: tackling the problem in accordance with legislations of Germany and Europe” and “Obligations of Provider and freedom of information”.
Participants carried out discussions on the above mentioned subjects.
The seminar was joined by employees of Azerbaijani Prosecutor General`s Office, Ministries of Justice, Taxes, Communications and Information Technologies, the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security of the Special State Protection Service, judges and lawyers.
Computer crime refers to any crime that involves a computer and a network. The computer may have been used in the commission of a crime, or it may be the target. Netcrime also refers to criminal exploitation of the Internet.
