A workshop entitled “Role of Women in Statehood Development” has been held in the Azerbaijan State Economic University.

Rector of the University, Milli Majlis deputy, academician Ali Abbasov told of the active participation of Azerbaijani women in socio-political life of Azerbaijan and stressed the special attention paid by national leader Heydar Aliyev to participation of Azerbaijani women in public administration.

Chairman of the State Committee for Women Issues Zahra Guliyeva told of women’s role in the statehood development, state care showed to tackling their problems.

The speakers noted that women took an active part in the presidential elections and showed political activity.
