WORLD SUMMIT OF WOMEN HELD
As was informed to AzerTAj from National Confederation of the Organizations of Businessmen of Azerbaijan, 840 supervising women took part in the Summit from 84 countries representing the governmental and non-governmental organizations, female associations and business - sector. The basic purpose of this Summit of the women named “The Davos Forum”, - carrying out the discussions connected to increase of the ole of women in sphere of economy.
The president of the World Summit of women Iren Natividat and mayor of Seoul Lee Miunk Buck welcomed visitors, have told about value of increase of the role of women in the society and their economic activity.
Within the framework of action, sessions on various themes, and also the first exhibition of women WEXPO have been organized.
At the Summit, awards have been handed to the women - leaders who are carrying out activity at national and international level.
At the action, Azerbaijan was represented by the vice-president of the State Committee on problems of women Mominet Omarova and the assistant to the secretary general of National Confederation of the Organizations of Businessmen of Azerbaijan Gulshen Rzayeva.
