WUF13 highlights women`s role in decision-making processes

The women’s group meeting, held as part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), focused on women’s housing rights, gender equality, and role in decision-making processes.
Speakers at the event emphasized that the women’s group provides an important platform for women from various countries to exchange ideas and discuss key issues. They noted that the session plays a crucial role in sharing experiences and enhancing cooperation.
Addressing the event, Maryam Majidova, a founder of “Gender Hub Azerbaijan” and member of the Public Council under the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, underscored the importance of women’s participation in decision-making processes. She underlined that achieving gender equality requires joint efforts by both women and men.
