Xiaoyu Gu: Asian countries face common challenges

Baku, February 19, AZERTAC
“The pace of change in today’s world is accelerating beyond expectations. Conflicts and confrontations are intensifying, global transformations are unfolding, and unilateralism and protectionism are re-emerging. Acts of hegemony and violence continue to pose serious consequences,” said Xiaoyu Gu, Vice-Chairperson of the Education, Science, Culture, and Public Health Committee of the National People's Congress of China, during the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in Baku.
“Sharing a common geographic space, Asian countries also share both prosperity and challenges. We face a wide range of common issues on the path to stability, cooperation, and development. At the same time, the region holds vast opportunities for progress,” he noted.
Xiaoyu Gu also highlighted the practical significance of the session in Baku.
