AZERTAC re-elected as OANA vice president with majority of votes VIDEO

The Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) was re-elected vice president of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) for the 2022-2025 term with the majority of votes as the organization’s 18th General Assembly wrapped up in Iranian city of Tehran.
The two-day event brought together delegations from 22 news agencies of member countries who discussed various topics, including the development and strengthening of media cooperation.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) of Iran was elected OANA President for the next tenure. Meanwhile, the Republic of Korea’s Yonhap news agency, the Russian News Agency TASS, the Xinhua News Agency of China, and the Anadolu Agency of Turkiye are Vice Presidents.
OANA members approved the minutes of the 49th meeting of the OANA Executive Board, the revised OANA Statutes, and the proposal of choosing TASS as host of the 19th OANA General Assembly in 2025.
