20 January martyrs commemorated in Berlin VIDEO

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany organized a commemorative event at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Berlin to mark the 36th anniversary of the 20 January tragedy.
The ceremony started with a minute of silence for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
A German language film on the January 20 tragedy was then screened.
Nasimi Aghayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany; Fidan Damer, the Board Member of the German-Azerbaijani Forum, addressed the event.
The event participants also watched the documentary titled “Born on January 20” highlighting the Azerbaijani sailors’ selfless resistance against the Soviet army during those difficult days.
The event continued with a photo exhibition highlighting the 20 January tragedy events.
