"Azerbaijan and the World": Baku and Belgrade – Strategic cooperation amid global turbulence VIDEO
Baku, February 24, AZERTAC
A new episode of the program "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website. Host Tamilla Mammadova spoke with Serbian international relations expert Andrej Bojić, discussing the current state and prospects of strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia amid the fragmentation of global politics and the crisis of multilateral international institutions.
During the conversation, Andrej Bojić noted that the emphasis on high levels of trust and strategic partnership in statements by the two countries' leadership reflects the objective need for reliable bilateral alliances. He emphasized that, amid weakening traditional global governance mechanisms, it is precisely such cooperation formats that ensure political predictability, security, and sustainable development.
During the interview, discussions were also focused on energy cooperation. The expert emphasized that existing Azerbaijani gas supplies to Serbia and plans to expand them are crucial not only for bilateral relations but also for strengthening Europe's energy resilience as a whole. These ties, in his opinion, help reduce the risks associated with market instability and potential energy crises, enhancing Azerbaijan's role as a reliable partner for Europe.
