Baku hosts international conference on enhancing women’s role across CICA region VIDEO

An international conference entitled “Amplifying Women’s Voices across CICA for Sustainable Growth” of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) continued with panel discussions in Baku.
The panel session, moderated by Narmin Ahangari, head of the Regional Security Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on women entrepreneurs in SMEs and harnessing AI and digitalization.
Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Chairperson of the Committee for Family and Women Zulaykho Mahkamova, recalled that in recent years, trust and strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have been continuously developing. She noted that the establishment of the CICA Women’s Council will further strengthen relations among member countries.
The speakers at the event also included Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services; Hijran Huseynova, Chairperson of the Milli Majlis Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs; Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan (KOBIA), and others.
