80TH JUBILEE OF ACADEMICIAN DEVOTED

A scientific conference to mark the 80th jubilee of director of the NASA Institute of History, prominent scholar-historian, honored worker of science, academician Igrar Aliyev has taken place at the presidium of the National Academy of Sciences /NASA/.

Opening the conference, the NASA president Mahmud Karimov dwelt on the scientific and scientific-organizational activity of the scholar.

Deputy director of the Institute of History Jabi Bahramov, reporting on life and activity of the scholar, told of Igrar Aliyev’s eventful life, his services in researching the history of Azerbaijan.

Academician-secretary of the department of social sciences and humanities Agamusa Akhundov, academicians Jamil Guliyev, Tofig Kocharli, Teymur Bunyadov etc congratulated I. Aliyev and conveyed their best regards to him. The conference participants familiarized with the photo exhibition reflecting I. Aliyev’s activity.
