“We consider the first European Games one of the major events in the 2015 sports calendar,” Russian deputy sports minister Yuri Nagornykh told AZERTAC.
“Team Russia includes famous athletes, key players of the national team and promising youngsters eager to make it to the world`s sports elite.”
Mr Nagornykh noted that all members of Team Russia are seriously preparing for the Games and aim only at the victory. “Baku is a fantastic city. I cannot wait to come to the Azerbaijani capital with the Russian team,” he said.
