AMBASSADOR OF AZERBAIJAN PRESENTED HIS CREDENTIALS IN GREECE

Newly appointed ambassador of Azerbaijan Republic to Greece Mirhamza Efendiyev has presented his credentials to the President of this Country Konstantinos Stephanopoulos, 21 July, press service of foreign ministry reported.

After presentation of credential, President of Greece received Ambassador Mirhamza Efendiyev. President Konstantinos Stephanopoulos noted that diplomat Mirhamza Efendiyev is the first ambassador extraordinary an plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan Republic to the Republic of Greece and wished him success in his mission. Underlining the necessity of cooperation between Greece and Azerbaijan in all fields, President Konstantinos Stephanopoulos reminded his visit in June current year to Baku and meeting with President Ilham Aliyev said that this visit would play special role in development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for reception, Ambassador Mirhamza Efendiyev conveyed greetings and best wishes of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Konstantinos Stephanopulos. Noting that Azerbaijan attaches great significance to cooperation with Greece, the Ambassador assured that eh would his best to better thee links.

Also were exchanged views on a number of other questions of mutual interest.

President of Greece Konstantinos Stephanopoulos requested the Azerbaijan Ambassador to pass his greetings and wishes to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.

Secretary general of the Administration of Greek President ambassador Konstantinos Ailianos and deputy foreign minister Panayiotis Skandalakis attended the reception.
