Jakarta, April 6, AZERTAC

The Indonesian ANTARA news agency has published an article highlighting the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia.

The article by second secretary of Azerbaijan`s embassy in Indonesia Intigam Huseynov provides detailed information on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the history of development, friendship and cooperation between the two countries over the past years. The author underlines that over the past 30 years, especially under the leadership of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev and Indonesian President Joko Widodo, the two countries enjoy strong and reliable cooperation in political, economic, cultural, humanitarian and many other fields, including mutual political support to each other.

The article emphasizes that Indonesia is one of the countries that has strongly condemned Armenia`s military aggression against Azerbaijan for nearly 30 years. “During the Second Karabakh War, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry and the Indonesian Parliament made statements in support of Azerbaijan. There is an unconditional mutual support of Indonesia in international organizations such as the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement. Trade between the two countries has increased to $ 174.1 million, including the expansion of investments and tourism ties,” the article noted.
