AZERBAIJAN EXPANDS TRADE RELATIONS IN ECO FRAMEWORK

Session of the representatives of trade departments of Economic Cooperation Organization / ECO/ member states was held in Islamabad, on July 16-17, AzerTAj correspondent was told at the Ministry for Economic Development.

Azerbaijan was represented by head of the department on cooperation with the international organizations of the Ministry Samad Bashirov.

On completion of the conference, representatives of Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan signed an agreement on reduction of trade tariffs to 15 percent during the next five years.

It should be reminded that the first meeting of the representatives of trade department in the frame of ECO was held in Teheran, on May 3 of the current years.
