AZERBAIJAN GAINES ONE MORE OLYMPIC LICENSE

Azerbaijani athletes are scoring partial success at the 48th world Greco-Roman wrestling championship, hiwch is being held in France According to YOUth, Sports and Tourism Ministry’s press-service, Azerbaijani team is represented by 4 wrestlers - Namik Eyvazov /55 kg/, Nuraddin Rajabov /60/, Farid Mansurov /66 kg/ and Vugar Aslanov /74 kg/. Namik Eyvazov and Nuraddin Rajabov lost their fights at the initial stage.

Silver medallist of the last year's world championship Farid Mansurov was defeated in the quarterfinal but managed to join the first ten and gained Olympic license. Vugar Aslanov won 2 consecutive clashes and still in quest for gold medal.

Farid Mansurov is the sixth athlete to take part in the Olympic Games.
