    AZERBAIJAN TO SELL ITS GAS DIRECTLY TO OTHER COUNTRIES

    The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic will sign a new deal with Turkey to transport natural gas to Europe.

    Under the deal, Azerbaijan will sell gas directly to Greece and other European countries next year. Turkey currently sells to Greece gas bought from Azerbaijan.

    Greece is going to buy 1 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan in 2009.
