AZERTAC’s employees improve their Chinese language skills

AZERTAC news agency organizes annual foreign language courses for its employees, including Chinese language courses.
AZERTAC employees' improving their foreign language skills is of crucial importance against a background of Azerbaijan's rapid development, its active integration into the world community, its hosting international sporting and cultural events, as well as rapid development of the agency ties with the world's leading news agencies and its presidency of international media organizations.
AZERTAC is now holding Chinese, English and German language courses for its staff. More than 50 employees of the agency are involved in the intensive language courses conducted by highly-qualified specialists. Apart from improving language skills, the employees also get knowledge of culture, national traditions and media landscape of the countries whose language they learn.
The Chinese language courses are conducted by the teacher of Baku State University-based Confucius Institute Zeng Chunxiao.
AZERTAC actively cooperates with the Confucius Institute in training Chinese language translators as well as journalists wishing to learn the Chinese language and culture. There is a growing interest in Chinese language courses among the agency`s employees.
Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China have been rapidly developing in recent years. AZERTAC and the Chinese Xinhua agency, which is one of China`s and the world's leading news agencies, are also contributing to the strengthening of relations between the two countries and peoples. The two agencies maintain successful cooperation both in bilateral format and within international organizations. During his recent visit to Azerbaijan Editor-in-Chief of Xinhua News Agency He Ping hailed AZERTAC's producing news in Chinese and the employees` great interest in learning the language.
