Ambassador Saud Abdulaziz Al-Roomi: Kuwait-Azerbaijan relations have witnessed remarkable development in recent years

Kuwait-Azerbaijan relations have witnessed remarkable development in recent years. This demonstrates that the political leadership of the two countries are determined to further develop and expand the bilateral ties, said Kuwaiti Ambassador Saud Abdulaziz Al-Roomi at the reception marking his country`s 57th anniversary of national day.

He stressed that today they also celebrated the 27th anniversary of the Liberation Day.

The diplomat highlighted relations between the two countries: "This demonstrates that the political leadership of the two countries are determined to further develop and expand bilateral relations. There have been a series of reciprocal visits from the officials of both countries over the past years."

He described holding the first and second meetings of the intergovernmental joint commission between the two countries as one of the most important achievements.

"The intergovernmental agreement on air communication between Azerbaijan and Kuwait has contributed to strengthening of fruitful cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment and tourism."

On behalf of the Azerbaijani government, Sports and Youth Minister Azad Rahimov congratulated the people of Kuwait on the occasion of the holiday. At his words, "the relations between the two countries were successfully developing in a variety of fields".

Hailing political relations between the two countries, the Minister said Kuwait is cooperating with Azerbaijan both in bilateral and international formats.

The reception was attended by state and government officials, MPs, ambassadors of foreign countries in Baku, representatives of international organizations in the country and representatives of public.
