Baku City Circuit (BCC) has confirmed that Axwell Λ Ingrosso - two of Sweden’s most exciting musical exports and leading figures in the electronic dance music scene – will play the Saturday night post-concert after-party at the 2018 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix on April 28th.

Immediately after the stunning Christina Aguilera leaves the stage on Saturday April 28th, the Swedish duo will get the after party started to keep all the F1 revelers dancing long into the night. In a change from previous race weekends, this year’s concert and subsequent after-parties will be staged at Baku’s famous Crystal Hall.

The iconic reign of Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso – founding members of the legendary Swedish House Mafia - took new heights in the form of Axwell Λ Ingrosso. Embraced by tastemakers, luxury brands and adoring fans across the continents, a culmination of Grammy Nominations, DJ Mag Top 100 chart success and back-to-back Billboard and Beatport chart accession has seen the duo garner huge attention from across the globe.

Kick starting with a first collaborative appearance at Governors Ball in New York in 2014, debut single ‘Something New’ kick started the project with a bang, with subsequent singles ‘On My Way,’ ‘Can’t Hold Us Down’ and ‘Sun Is Shining’ put the Stockholm¬ based crusaders back on the radio airwaves whilst keeping their main stage activity in full flow.

The Pusha T assisted ‘This Time’ spelled an experimental twist with a charitable edge for the UNHCR from the all-star act at the back end of 2015, leaving instrumental landmark ‘Dream Bigger’ to kick start 2016 for the duo.

From landmark appearances at Coachella, V Festival and Electronic Daisy Carnival and a weekly summer residency at the prestigious Ushuaia Ibiza under their belts, the year ahead spells more high-profile activity for two Sweden’s hottest musical exports of the last decade.

BCC’s Head of Commercial, Bulent Ozerdim, spoke earlier of his excitement at the announcement of the second after-party act for this year’s race weekend: “Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s music truly opens doors and speaks to the world. To have them as our Saturday Night Headliners is the icing on the cake for our weekend’s live music offering. The Crystal Hall is the perfect location to witness this incredible duo perform one of their amazing sets and display their unrivalled showmanship in front of thousands of F1 fans, right after the excitement of Qualifying has ended. I’m not sure there have been too many better post-Qualifying offerings for fans on an F1 Saturday before than ours – Christina Aguilera followed by Axwell Λ Ingrosso all for the price of one ticket! My message to everyone stays the same: make sure you get your tickets while you still can and come join us here in Baku this April 27th – 29th!”

All 2018 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 4-day ticket holders will have free access to the Jamiroquai, Christina Aguilera and Dua Lipa concerts and subsequent after-parties on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th respectively. Roaming ticket holders will have access to these shows on the day(s) that their ticket is valid for.

DAILY Tickets to the after parties are ALSO sold separately at a cost of 30 AZN for the Fan Zone and 50 AZN for the Golden Circle areas. These will allow access to Crystal Hall after 11pm on each respective night.

Transport to the concerts will be provided to all fans for the short journey from Baku City Circuit to the Crystal Hall.

Fans with four-day tickets will additionally be able to enjoy an exclusive Pit Lane Walk on Thursday April 26th, while all ticket holders will get access to the drivers via daily Autograph Sessions and will also be entertained throughout the weekend via a series of entertainment activities located along the circuit’s vending zones situated along Baku’s stunning seaside boulevard.
