Azerbaijan becomes 33rd in Energy Efficiency Index report

Azerbaijan has become 33rd according to the Global Energy Efficiency Index. The report proves that Azerbaijan and Japan have possessed same results.
Energy efficiency index is a weighted average of the specific consumption index of 10 branches; the weight being the share of each branch in the sum of the energy consumption of these branches in year.
Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan Urkhan Alakbarov commenting the result, highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements gained across the last years. He said the country`s achievements were reflected in the reports of the international organizations. “In official reports of the World Bank and the UN Azerbaijan`s high achievements were proven,” he added.
