Azerbaijani Premier meets Chief of Turkish General Staff
Baku, April 2 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has met Chief of the Turkish General Staff, Commander of the Turkish Army Necdet Ozel.
Speaking about ancient historical roots and fraternal traditions of the Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, PM Rasizade praised the close ties between the two countries in the fields of politics, economy and culture.
The Premier expressed confidence that Necdet Ozel`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to deepening cooperation in the military area.
The Azerbaijani PM said he believes that relations between the two countries would continue to develop.
Necdet Ozel noted that the Azerbaijan-Turkey strategic partnership in the military field serves the best interests of the two countries` peoples.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Necdet Ozel said Turkey supports the settlement of the problem in accordance with the international law and the principles of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and border inviolability.
They also exchanged views over prospects for cooperation between the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
