An Azerbaijani delegation led by deputy defense minister Karim Valiyev participated in the sixth Seoul Defense Dialogue in the capital of the Republic of Korea.
The event focused on a range of issues, including defense cooperation in Asia-Pacific and Korean peninsula. It brought together participants from 46 countries and 5 international organizations.
During the discussions, Valiyev stressed the importance of multifaceted cooperation in ensuring conflict resolution. On the conflicts in the Caucasus region, he highlighted the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh dispute. The deputy minister said that aggressive Armenia`s non-constructive position on the conflict resolution negatively influences the development and security of the region.
The event also featured a bilateral meeting on cooperation between the two countries` defense authorities. Korean Deputy Defense Minister Suh Choo-suk stressed the significance of widening relations under an agreement on mutual cooperation signed by defense authorities of Azerbaijan and Korea.
