Azerbaijani minister of emergency situations meets with INSARAG leadership

Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov has met with Chief of the Secretariat of the UN OCHA (United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) Rudolf Muller and INSARAG Secretariat coordinator for Africa-Europe-Middle East Olga Prorovskaya.
Heydarov said the ministry attaches great importance to cooperation with international organizations, especially the United Nations bodies. He provided an insight into the projects carried out jointly with the UN.
Minister Heydarov expressed confidence that the training courses for rescue teams INSARAG-2018 organised by the UN OCHA in Baku will contribute to the development of cooperation between the ministry and the organization.
Muller praised relationship of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the UN organizations, including the UN OCHA.
The INSARAG leadership said the training course organized jointly in Baku will raise the professional level of the search and rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
