Baku, July 7, AZERTAC

All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress, “AZERROS” Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis in Russia and Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Youth Union made a statement on the killing of two Azerbaijani citizens, including a toddler, and the wounding of another as a result of shelling of Alkhanly village of Fuzuli by the Armenian armed forces.

The statement has been addressed to the UN, OSCE, PACE, European Court of Human Rights, co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group and the European Parliament, State Committee on Work with Diaspora has told AZERTAC.

“Armenia, which pursues aggressive policy, ignores the international legal norms, international humanitarian law and human rights, especially the 1949 Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocol 1, the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of the Child, human rights and fundamental freedoms,” the statement says.

The statement urges the world powers as well as the UN, OSCE, the Council of Europe and the EU not remain indifferent to the killing of civilians, elders, women and children and to force Armenia to withdraw from the occupied territories.
