CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
After members of CEC approved the protocols of CEC sessions of August 3 and 8, a member of the Commission Habil Orujev spoke on consideration of applies of citizens wishing to monitor election at their personal initiative all over the Republic of Azerbaijan. Members of the Commission took a decision to give a positive response to these applies.
Secretary of CEC Ingilab Nasirov spoke on confirmation of explanations on the rules of filling the resulting protocol of district election commission on calculation of votes and results of voting in polling stations on elections of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Secretary of the Commission Vidady Makhmudov made an announcement on confirmation of explanations on rules of filling of the resulting protocol of district election commission on calculation of votes and results of voting in electoral district.
Besides, the address of the Central Election Commission to Presidential contenders was approved at the session. Members of the Commission called Presidential contenders to show respect to citizens and each other in the course of pre-electoral agitation.
Further, the Commission passed a resolution on registration of 50 agents appointed by the Party of Civil Solidarity and 26 agents of the Musavat Party.
After that, the Commission received the announcement on introduction of changes into the membership of some district election commission and passed the related resolutions.
At the session, they discussed statements and applies received by CEC, took a decision on sending these applies to the Prosecutor General’s office for consideration.
Having discussed other issues of the agenda, Central Election Commission passed the resulted resolutions.
Representatives of the International Fund of Electoral Systems (IFES), Bureau of democratic institutions and human rights of OSCE, Embassies of Great Britain, local and foreign mass media were present at the session.
