Members of the Caspian European Club have visited АSK Glass plant as part of the arranged business tour. Businessmen viewed a full range of manufactured products and modern production techniques, including closed cycle production technologies, First Deputy Chairman and CEO of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev said.
In particular, the plant is producing glassware which is competitive in the regional markets and is also used by domestic producers.
Director of the plant Zaur Yagubov noted that the launch of the new production line would help to increase the plant’s capacity up to 90% of the designed capacity this year. A total production capacity of the plant constitutes 80-85 million items of glassware. 50-60 new working places will be opened at the enterprise. According to the agreement on cooperation reached with the leading Italian company, the indicator will increase twice as much and reach 160 million units in near future owing to installation of new equipment.
ASK Glass LLC was established in February 2018 and operates within the Azerbaijani Industrial Corporation (AIC). The enterprise is located in Baku.
According to the information provided to the Club’s members, the enterprise is located at the area covering 22 hectares, and is equipped with the most advanced Italian technologies. Along with the use of local raw materials, АSK Glass is also purchasing them in Russia, Ukraine and Turkey. In the course of the year Azerbaijani Industrial Corporation OJSC has taken a number of measures aimed at increasing production and quality of industrial products, as well as at improving material welfare of the population through creation of new working places.
Then in an informal setting a meeting was held between the members of the Caspian European Club and ASK’s management team who replied to questions which were of interest to the business tour participants. The parties discussed possibilities of cooperation and reached preliminary agreements, Telman Aliyev said.
Telman Aliyev noted that the Caspian European Club has been traditionally holding such business tours for entrepreneurs in order to provide more detailed information about potential of large public and private enterprises of the country and the region, as well as about possibilities of establishing a partnership. Arranged in the course of the year were over 10 business tours, including a tour to Jabrayil district’s Jojug Marjanly village liberated from the Armenian occupiers, to ANAS High Technologies Park, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku International Sea Trade Port, “Ulduz” chocolate factory, Gazelli Group cosmetics company’s factory, Debet Safety’s factory, etc.
Bringing together over 5,000 companies and organizations from 50 countries, the Caspian European Club was established in June 2002. The head office of the Caspian European Club is in Baku (Azerbaijan). Besides, the Caspian European Club has official representative offices in Georgia and Kazakhstan, authorized representatives in the USA, Germany and Latvia.
