Climate change a "serious threat" to food security
Baku, November 4, AZERTAC
Changes to typical climatic patterns in many parts of the world could mean that around two billion people will be battling hunger and malnutrition in the years ahead, according to UN Multimedia.
The UN's Special Rapporteur on the right to food, Hilal Elver, says climate change remains a "serious threat" to food security.
In December, the international community is meeting in Paris, France, in an attempt to agree a legally-binding deal which will keep rises in global temperatures to below 2 degrees Celsius.
