Czech Senate delegation pays respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani heroes

Baku, April 15 (AZERTAC). A Czech Senate delegation led by Miroslav Krejca, chairman of the Committee on EU Affairs, has today visited the Alley of Honors to lay flowers at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

They also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

The Czech delegation then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity.

In a brief interview, Mr. Krejca told journalists the visit will see the Czech delegation have meetings at the parliament and several other government bodies, adding the two countries will discuss how to develop their bilateral relations.
