Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis marked in Tbilisi
Tbilisi, December 31 (AZERTAC). The Congress of Georgian Azerbaijanis (CGA) held an event on the occasion of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis in Tbilisi on December 30.
Chair of the Congress Ali Babayev congratulated the event participants and spoke about the history and significance of the date founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Sevil Yusifova, president of the Women Journalist Association of Azerbaijan, stressed the importance of the Solidarity day and noted that the day founded by National leader Heydar Aliyev became a national holiday.
She also underlined that President Ilham Aliyev paid great attention to the world Azerbaijanis.
Representative of the State Ministry of Georgia for Reintegration Savalan Mirzeyev said that Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis had become a tradition in Georgia. It is important for presentation Azerbaijani culture in the world.
Representative of SOCAR in Georgia Shovgi Mehdizade and Georgian MP Mahir Darziyev also participated in the event.
The event also featured a concert program.
