Defense Ministry: Azerbaijani armed forces have not fired on civilians, civilian facilities and cars
Baku, February 4, AZERTAC
"The Azerbaijani armed forces have never fired on civilians, civil facilities and cars in compliance with the principles and norms of the international humanitarian law," said Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry in response to what it called “absurd allegations of the Armenian side”. The Ministry said: “In an attempt to hide its provocation on the state border and put the blame on Azerbaijan, the Armenian side alleged that the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire on a car of an Armenian civilian.”
“But it is absolutely untrue and ridiculous,” the Ministry said.
