ANNIVERSARY GREETINGS
Director General of Anadolu Agency
Senol Kazanci
Dear Aslan Aslanov,
The international cooperation between Anadolu and AZERTAC, national news agencies of Turkey and Azerbaijan, whose relationship are based on “one nation, two states” principle, continues to be strengthened both bilaterally and within international organizations.
At the time when the offices of Anadolu News Agency, which carries out journalism at global scale, were deliberately attacked and their correspondents injured, it was AZERTAC news agency that has promptly responded to the Anadolu Agency’s calls for the condemnation of these events by the international media within the principles of global journalism. Therefore, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the entire staff of AZERTAC, especially my dear colleagues, who have always supported Anadolu Agency during their difficult times.
As an example of the historic fraternity of Azerbaijan and Turkey, I would like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to Ahmet Agaoglu on his 81st death anniversary, who was a lawyer, politician and journalist, as well as Anadolu Agency’s Chairman of Board, and also stood by us during the Turkish War of Independence and fought alongside Mustafa Kemal Ataturk to deliver our voice to the world.
Apart from being Azerbaijan’s major news agency, AZERTAC has enhanced its influence and vision in international media, especially in recent years, by successfully chairing global media platforms and assemblies such as the News Agencies World Congress and Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA).
I am confident that these successful activities of AZERTAC will continue to grow. I extend my sincere congratulations to you and AZERTAC on its 100th anniversary with the best wishes for continued success.
