European Azerbaijan Society to present Unresolved Dreams: Azerbaijani Refugees and IDPs photo exhibition

Baku, June 4, AZERTAC

On the occasion of UN World Refugee Day, The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) Benelux Office, in conjunction with the VII Photo Agency, will present an exhibition by the legendary US photojournalist, filmmaker and educator Ed Kashi in Brussels on June 20.

Ed specialises in highlighting political and social issues, and this led him to point his camera towards the lives of just a few of the estimated one million Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). They are the ongoing victims of the unresolved Armenian–Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, and this emotionally-charged exhibition encapsulates their plight, TEAS said.

Speakers at the event will include Fuad Isgandarov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the EU, Marc Verwilghen, Director, The European Azerbaijan Society Benelux Office, Amanda Paul, Senior Policy Analyst, European Policy Centre (EPC), and Ed Kashi.
